William E. von Berg, Jr. of Cambridge, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 28, 2022 at the age of fifty-two. He was the beloved son of William and Carolynn (Meal) von Berg, Sr. of Plymouth; loving brother of David von Berg and his wife Karen of Maryland, Christina Guarino and her husband Andrew of Plymouth and the late Paula von Berg. He leaves his nieces, Darby, Katelyn and Evangeline; his Aunt Valerie and her husband Robert Nelligan and many cousins.
William was born on September 11, 1970 in Quincy. He attended Plymouth schools and graduated from UMass Amherst, School of Nursing, graduating Magna cum laude. As a young boy he was involved in Cub Scouts. While in High School William played football, soccer and wrestled. He worked as a lifeguard for many years. He was a champion body builder and physical fitness trainer. He was an avid reader; enjoying all the classics, including novels written by Ernest Hemingway and O’Henry. He was a follower of World History. William was an avid sports fan, especially boxing and football.
A period of visitation will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth.
