Obituaries
Thomas M. Viera of Plymouth died peacefully on Tuesday September 20th at B.I.D.Hospital Plymouth with his family at his side. He is the beloved husband of Nancy J. (Moran) Viera. Born in Plymouth October 19, 1941 son of the late Antone and Margaret (Knight) Viera. He was educated in Plymouth and a graduate of Plymouth High School class of 1959. Tom had had long time career with the US Army National Guard where he worked at their missile site in Hull and later worked as a Helicopter Mechanic at the Otis Air Base on Cape Cod and retired as a First Sgt. E 8 from the Massachusetts National Guard Yankee Division. after 38 years of service. After his retirement he worked as a courier for the Jordan Hospital for 13 years. He enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He also enjoyed fishing with his buddies on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Besides his loving wife Nancy, he leaves his daughter Lisa MacWilliams and her husband Scott of Sagamore Beach and grandson Griffin MacWilliams Also survived by his sister Marjorie Velardo of Wareham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held on Friday September 23rd at 11:00 am at the Plymouth County Cemetery, South Meadow Road Plymouth (across from Plymouth Airport). Memorial donations in his name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Rd. Unit 300 Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
