Obituaries
Thomas A. Galletti of Carver formerly of Kingston, died peacefully with the love of his family by his side on Sunday May 21st at his home. He is the beloved husband of Suzanne (Cavicchi) Galletti for 55 years. He was born in Plymouth on December 16, 1942 and was the son of the late Alfred and Eva (Govoni) Galletti. Tommy was educated in the Kingston schools and later went on to attend and graduate from Sacred Heart High School in Kingston. He worked for COM/Electric as a Meter Tester for over 35 years. After retiring, Tommy later went to work for Sirrico Landscaping in Plymouth for 19 years. He was active throughout his life and was a coach for various local sports teams. He was an avid sports fan and played softball, tennis, basketball and loved to bowl. He loved going to high school basketball games. He also loved to ski and went on ski trips out west and in the northeast with his wife Suzanne. He traveled to many places with his wife and many of their trips were to the Caribbean Islands and cruising but his favorite trip was to Alaska. He took great pride in keeping his yard in meticulous shape, he enjoyed cooking and his greatest joy in life was being with his family and grandchildren and lending a hand to help others.
Besides his loving wife Suzanne, he leaves his son Jeffrey Galletti of Kingston, his daughter Kristin Majka and her husband David of Plymouth. Also survived by his cherished granddaughters Elise and Charlotte Majka. He also leaves his sister Virginia White of Westerly, RI. He was the brother of the late Aurelia Rezendes, Wilfred Galletti, Edward Galletti, Alice Tavares and Lucille Anti.
Visiting hours will be at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, North Plymouth (Near Cordage Park) on Wednesday May 31st from 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday June 1st at 10:30 am at St. Peter's Church in Plymouth. Cremation will follow at Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360 bidplymouth.org.
