Theresa "Terri" A. (Amaral) Craig, age 74, passed away January 3, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Plymouth, MA after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born on November 10, 1942 in Brockton to the late Joseph and Theresa (Brown) Amaral. She was the loving wife of the late Richard N. Craig. She leaves behind her beloved sons Richard S. Craig and his wife Marda of North Carolina and Stephen N. Craig and his wife Alicia of Wrentham. She was the devoted grandmother to four grandchildren; Katherine and Elizabeth Craig of North Carolina and Amanda and Michael Craig of Wrentham. She is survived by a loving and compassionate sister, Nancy Reed of Plymouth, and by two supportive brothers, Thomas Amaral of Hanson and Richard Amaral of Bridgewater. She also leaves behind a dear sister-in-law, Cheryl Craig of East Sandwich. She was "Aunt Terri" to a total of four nieces and six nephews. A 1960 graduate of Bridgewater High School, she married her high school sweetheart in 1963 and began a family. She lived in Florida briefly and then settled in New York City for 5 years and then New Jersey for 6 years before moving back home to Massachusetts. Terri had a genuine love for people and a love for God that was the focus of her entire life. She cared most for those in her family but she treated everyone in life as if they were family. This people-focused philosophy for life led her into the two vocations that she thrived in throughout her years. She became a registered nurse in 1982 and worked in nursing homes caring for the elderly. Out of need, she was later drawn into the restaurant business as co-owner of two restaurants in Hyannis (Mr. Richard's and The Harbor House) with her beloved husband of 38 years. She was a tremendous partner and added her grace and smile to the dining room each day. Her daily interactions and care for people made for a naturally pleasant atmosphere that people gravitated towards. Her hard work made for great success in both vocations. Future years would bring a vacation home in Sarasota, Florida. While in semi-retirement there she was able to return to her first profession, working as a nurse for an eye surgeon. Throughout her life she was always very social with friends, neighbors and with her church. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held at The Church of the Pilgrimage in Plymouth, MA on Saturday March 4th at 10:30am. For more information and to sign the guestbook please, visit: www.cartmelldavis.com
