Obituaries
Susan Stearns, age 79 years, of Plymouth, died Monday, December 26, 2022 at the Beth Israel – Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. She was the wife of Arnold Stearns, and the daughter of the late Samuel and Rhoda (Spear) Ross. Born on April 8, 1943 in Revere, she studied theater arts at Boston University and Cape Cod Community College. She worked as a real estate agent and broker and as a promotional model at Macy’s department store. She also was an active volunteer throughout the community of Plymouth. Susan was passionate about fashion, cosmetology, jewelry and shopping. She enjoyed the arts, as she and her husband Arnold would attend concerts and musical productions. She was a collector of artwork, watercolors, oil paintings and contemporary artwork. She was fortunate to have travels the world, but was happy to enjoy her beloved Boston sports teams or a quiet day at Revere beach.
Besides her husband Arnold, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage, she is survived by her children Pamela Ross and her life partner Irene Sullivan of Kingston, Richard Stearns and his wife Rachel of Middleboro and Nancy Stearns of Plymouth. She also leaves her grandchildren Jason and Allison Stearns, her sister Marjorie Feldman and her husband Jerry of Acworth, GA, and her sisters-in-law Sybil Sharaf and Eileen Gorkin.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00AM at Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Plymouth Animal Shelter, 2199 State Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.
