Obituaries
Sheryl was born in 1959 in Anchorage, Alaska to mother Patricia. She was raised by Patricia and Paul Babbitt in Orange, Massachusetts and attended Mahar Regional High School. Sheryl went on to receive an Associates Degree from Greenfield Community College, and later attended both Radcliffe College and Boston University. Subsequently, she worked as a successful sales executive, sales manager and a publisher for many years.
Sheryl Woodford led an inspiring life, filled with laughter, love, great friends, and family. She spent her years as a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Sheryl’s children, Michael and Jenny from her marriage to James Woodford brought her much joy. She taught them to above all else care for each other, to be independent and brave, and that anything is obtainable with hard work and perserverance.
Sheryl loved spending time on the beach, and did so as much as she possibly could. She was a gifted singer - her voice filled the house, the car, or anywhere she happened to be. Sheryl loved to dance, and was an amazing cook. She made every holiday and family gathering special, attending to small details to add extra magic to each event.
It’s hard to accurately depict what and how much she meant to so many people in her life.
She is survived by her mother Patricia, son Michael, Daughter in law Jessica, granddaughter Liv, daughter Jenny, Jenny’s fiancé Trey, her sisters: Paula, Sharon and Tricia, and her brother John. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many longtime friends.
Services will be held at Cartmell-Davis Funeral Services, 373 Court Street, (North) Plymouth, MA on January 27th at 1pm. A reception held for the family members will follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Arc, where Sheryl volunteered. The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
