Shawn C. Loring, age 49 years, of Carver, formerly of Kingston, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham, following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Liz" (Gonsalves) Loring, and the son of Charles L.Loring Jr and step son of Eileen Loring and son of Barbara A. Loring . Born in Middleboro, Shawn was raised in Kingston and has lived in Carver for many years. He worked in maintenance and in the kitchen at McDonald's Restaurant in Hanson. Shawn enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbecuing, meat smoking and cooking. Besides his wife Liz and his parents, he is survived by his daughter Shawna and his son Nicholas Loring, both of Carver, his brother Jason Loring of Westfield and his fiance Tanya Bradshaw, his sister Colleen Cranshaw and her husband Gregg of Swansea, his grandfather Earl McAllister, nieces and nephews, Paige & Cameron Cranshaw, Jasmin & Sebastian Loring, Tayegan Bradshaw, his uncle Jimmy McAllister, his aunt Brenda Fisher and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 462 Main street, Wareham, on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10AM. Interment will be private. A celebration of life will follow at 1pm at the Upland Sportsman Club, 76 Upland Rd. in Plympton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pat Roche Hospice House, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043.
