Obituaries
Ronald Weiss of Middleborough, MA, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle passed away on May 20, 2023 at the age of 80, with his family around him. Ron was born and raised in Bridgeport, CT to loving parents, Mila and Richard Weiss and graduated from Bassick High and University of Bridgeport. After graduation, Ron moved to Massachusetts where he lived the rest of his life. Having been an athlete and sportsman, Ron's first career was as a physical education teacher. When he was 48, Ron went to law school to achieve a life-long dream of becoming a lawyer. He subsequently opened his own successful practice which he maintained until just several months ago.
Ron was a kind and loving person who put family above all else. He was moved greatly by his parents' escape from Czechoslovakia after the Nazi invasion during WWII, and this influenced him his entire life. Ron loved debating politics, spending time with family and friends, and camping and vacationing with his wife Deb. He had an infectious laugh and he lived life to the fullest even in recent years when his health started to fail.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Debbie Centeio-Weiss, Middleborough, MA, sisters Debbie and Vikki Weiss, Trumbull, CT, step-siblings, Pamela Nishball, Ashford, CT, Alex Nishball, Mansfield, CT, and Linda Lee, Las Vegas, NV, children Kraig Weiss, Parkland, FL, Rebecca Weiss, Plymouth, MA, Anna Nathan, Plymouth, MA, Meghan Hickey, Carver, MA, Peter Gonsalves, Carver MA, and his many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Interment will be at Adath Israel Cemetery, 1400 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT on Wednesday, May 24 at 12:00pm. A visitation will be held at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court St. (North) Plymouth, on Friday, June 9th, from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm.
