Obituaries
Robert W. (Bob) Morin, age 94 years, of White Horse Beach in Plymouth, died Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. He was the husband of Clare (Whalen) Morin and the son of the late Edward and Catherine (Toner) Morin. Born on October 5, 1927 in Boston, he along with his wife Clare raised their family in Weymouth before settling at the family summer home at White Horse Beach. He worked in construction until his retirement from Carpenters Local 40 in 1987. He was a United States Army veteran and a life-time member of the VFW. Robert loved to play golf whether it was at any of the Plymouth area golf courses or at Green Harbor in Marshfield. He and Clare enjoyed traveling, especially to Bermuda, one of their favorite places. They took a number of cruises with Clare’s sister Barbie and her husband Eddie. He was a family man, especially enjoying the company of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but was most devoted to his wife of 72 years, Clare.
Besides his wife Clare, Robert will be missed by his four sons, William Morin and his wife Margaret of Hanover, Robert Morin and his wife Martha Tomich of Washington D.C., Gary Morin and his wife Robin Mailloux-Morin of Hanson and David Morin and his wife Mary of Norwell, his grandchildren Derek, Michael, Racquel Mailloux-Morin, Kristopher, Willem, and Carli Rose, and his two great grandchildren, Sean and Jaxon. He was the brother of Paul Morin and his wife Marilyn of Plymouth, and the late Edward Morin and Jean McCay.
Visitation for Robert will be held in the DAVIS LIFE CELEBRATION FUNERAL HOME, 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet) on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 3:00PM – 6:00PM. Interment in the National Cemetery of Massachusetts, Connery Avenue in Bourne on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10:15AM
