Obituaries
Robert J. Bailey of Plymouth, passed away at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston on October 19, 2022 at the age of seventy-six. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Ann (Sherman) Bailey; loving father of Robert Bailey and his wife Kristen of Carver, Denise Gaines and her husband Craig of South Carolina, Amy Bailey of Carver, and John Bailey and his wife Emily of Plymouth; cherished grandfather of Mya and Evan Gaines of South Carolina; treasured brother of Alice Bailey and Ross Bailey and his wife Edith of New Brunswick, Canada. He leaves his aunt’s, Credwyn, Shirley and Avis and his niece Sarah and her family.
Robert was born on October 17, 1946 in St. Stephens, New Brunswick, Canada to the late John Melvin and Harriett Carol Lynn (Anderson) Bailey. He was raised on a farm that led to his love of all animals. He was especially fond of dogs and horses. Robert enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, and visiting St. Maarten was his favorite. He also enjoyed fishing and lobstering. Robert’s life revolved around his family and the love he had for them. He was a hard worker and will be missed dearly.
A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
