Robert Louis Agneta, age 77, died at his home in Plymouth on October 12, 2013. Born in Cambridge MA on November 23, 1935 , He was a son of the late Louis F. and Catherine (Carbone) Agneta. He was educated in Cambridge at Rindge Technical High School as well as Boston University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. He had worked in the graphic arts field for most of his life, working as a self-employed commercial artist. A longtime Plymouth resident, Mr. Agneta moved to Plymouth following his time serving in the US Army as 1st Lieutenant during the Vietnam War. He had worked for several years for the Hill-Holiday Company as Art Director. In his youth he enjoyed playing basketball and was active with the BU Alumni Basketball Team. He liked golfing with his friends at the Plymouth Country Club, where he held membership. Mr. Agneta liked listening to music and attending the theatre, as well as cooking for his friends and family. He held a place close to his heart for his dog "Teddie". Mr. Agneta was the loving father of Lisa Marie Green and her husband Davidof Reading, Tabitha Finn and her husband P.J.of Falmouth, James Agneta of Woburn and the late Robert Louis Agneta, Jr. and Anthony Joseph Agneta. He was the cherished grandfather of 6. He was the former husband of Gail B. (Pike) Agneta and the late Rose (Santosuosso) Agneta. Cremation will take place in Vine Hills Crematory, Plymouth. A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, October 18th, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
