Rene Conrad Halle, Jr.
September 7, 1950 - October 10, 2022
Rene Conrad Halle, Jr., age 72 passed away on October 10th, 2022 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth after battling lung cancer. He was the devoted husband of Jane (Botelho) (Diodato) Halle of Plymouth.
Born in Acushnet, MA on September 7, 1950, Rene was the son of the late Rene Conrad and Alice Mae (Kirby) Halle. He was educated and a graduate of Acushnet High School. For most of his life, over thirty years, Rene worked as a dedicated truck driver for UPS, hauling tandem trucks with deliveries. If you had the pleasure of knowing Rene you were blessed. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and he was always the first to offer help in any given situation.
First and foremost Rene was a family man. He and his wife Jane would frequently be entertaining folks; relatives, co-workers, and a vast group of friends. He was truly an outdoorsman. If he wasn’t working meticulously on his lawn he was fishing and camping with a group of his best buddies! He always had a kind word when you’d bump into him on the street. He will truly be missed by the host of people whose hearts he touched.
Besides leaving the love of his life and wife of 28 years, Jane, he was the loving father of Christine Halle of Pawtucket, RI, and step father of Donna Diodato of Hudson, MA, and Augustino Diodato and his wife Lori of Plymouth, MA. He was the grandfather of Cameron Halle, Brandon Halle, Krystal Hansen and her husband Chris, Augustino Diodato, Jr., Amanda Diodato, Amy Diodato and Anthony Diodato and great-grandfather of Chris, Jr., Dominic and Ryan.
Visitation will be held on October 21, 2022 at the Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court ST., Plymouth, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court St., Plymouth. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
