Nicholas Charles Petrocelli, age 78 of Plymouth and Florida passed away at his home on January 22, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Lacey) Petrocelli. Loving father of Nicholas Petrocelli and his wife Brigitte of Milton, Joseph Petrocelli of Hanover, Marianne Petrocelli and her significant other Larry Papalambros of Weymouth, and Carol Petrocelli-Hussey of Hanson. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicholas Hussey of Hanson, Ryan Hussey of Pembroke, Blake Petrocelli of Milton, Erin and Joseph Jr. Petrocelli of Hanover. He was the brother of Philip Petrocelli of Hull and the late Barbara Wallace. He leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. He will be missed dearly.
Nicholas was born in Boston, MA on September 18, 1939 to Philip and Rose (Kelley) Petrocelli. He grew up in Dorchester, married and raised his family in Rockland and summered in Plymouth. He later came to spend his winters in Cape Coral Florida. Nicholas was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked in the sporting goods industry for almost 60 years. He was a true outdoorsman who loved fishing and spending time on the ocean. Nick had an amazing green thumb and enjoyed tending to his garden and green house. He had a warm heart, generous spirit and a great sense of humor. He loved people and was an active member of numerous social, fraternal and veterans clubs. He had a special love for animals especially his faithful companion Jake. What was most important to Nick was his family, who always came first.
A period of visitation will take place on Sunday, January 28, 2017, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Davis Funeral and Cremation Home - 619 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet). A funeral mass will be held Monday, January 29, 2018, 10 am at St. Bonaventures Church - 803 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet). In lieu of flowers donations in Nicholas name may be made to the Plymouth Animal Shelter - 2199 State Rd., Plymouth, MA 02360.
