Mildred was born in Boston on September 3, 1941 to John and Rita (McDonald) Askins. She worked for many years in the shipping and receiving department of Pixley Richards in Plymouth. She enjoyed making afghans, watching hummingbirds and was an avid pool player. Mildred was very active in the close-knit community where she lived. She was always helping her friends and neighbors with whatever they needed, whether it was a ride, cooking meals for them or making puzzles. She was a selfless person and always put others needs before her own. Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those that loved her.
A period of visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth.
