Obituaries
Mildred "Millie" Baker born April 26, 1920, in Unity, Maine, was the daughter of Lillian and Leonard Reynolds. She was one of eight children. Millie was the beloved wife of (late) Walter Baker, the beloved mother of Janice Baker, and (late) Leonard "Butch" Baker. She leaves daughter-in-law Kathy Baker, granddaughter Julie Baker Cunniff, grandsons (late) Christopher Baker and (late) Michael Baker, and Great Grandchildren Jenna Cunniff, and Michael and Cody Baker.
Millie was an educator at the Henry O. Peabody School for Girls in Norwood, the LaBaron Academy in Brockton, and the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School. She also thoroughly enjoyed her position as a dispatcher at the Plymouth Council on Aging for many years. She was a business owner in Easton in the 1960's.
She and her husband Walter loved flying a Cessna 150, sailing, camping, bike riding, and especially spending time with family. Millie was an avid seamstress and knitter in her spare time and was a fabulous cook. She never lost her love of Belfast, Maine totally connected to the ocean always. She loved her daily walk down at the Plymouth waterfront. She loved interacting with people always offering them her genuinely beautiful smile and undivided attention.
She looked forward to and appreciated her time at Central Congregational Church in Middleboro and especially the Thursday Morning Women's Bible Study. Her faith and personal relationship with God a mainstay of her being. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16" Millie's homegoing is now complete - to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
