Michael Thomas Roach, “Mike” died on August 20, 2022 at the age of 62, after a battle with cancer. Mike loved his family, friends, and helping others in need. Also Boston sports teams, clever “Moves”, riding his Harley, his Ray-Bans, Chuck Taylor’s, and making people laugh. He was a master craftsman accredited with a Construction Supervisor License and built just about everything from Post and Beam homes to complete remodeling and commercial spaces for various businesses. And he was the hero for his three children: Cade, Julianne, and Alyssa.
He was born in Quincy on March 5, 1960, son of Joan L. (McManus) and James J. Roach. Mike grew up in Hough’s Neck until a teenager and has lived in the Plymouth/Carver area ever since. He spent a lot of time in Boston and knew it like the back of his hand. If you were in Boston with Mike and your GPS was about to make a bad call, he would steer you straight.
He was predeceased by his father James J. Roach and brother Dennis E. Roach. He is survived by his three children Cade Roach (Andrew Ziehl), Julianne Roach, and Alyssa Roach. He is the brother of Jean L. Thomas, James F. Roach (Ruth), Kevin V. Roach (Deb Caplan). He is the grandfather of River, Eliot, Forest, and Ezra. Also survived by his former wife and great friend Mary Lisa Ryan. Uncle of Jaime Roach (Rachel), Michael Cashman (Olivia), Brian Roach (Ritchell), Lauren Mellino, Adam Roach, and Madison Roach.
Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, North Plymouth (Near Cordage Park). A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 26th, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lourdes church, 130 Main St. Carver. Burial will be held at the Central Cemetery Carver followed by lunch at Our Lady of the Lourdes function hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations on behalf of Mike may be made to The Anchor House, 60 Cherry St, Plymouth, MA 02360. Mike was actively supporting their efforts as a friend of Bill W. Online guest book please visit www.cartmelldavis.com
