Mary Ellen (Terry) Parker passed peacefully at home with her beloved family by her side Wednesday morning, March 1st, 2023 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Born July 5, 1954 she was native to Plymouth, living all her life in the family home atop the bluffs of Manomet. Daughter of the late Arthur J. Terry and Eleanor Goddard Terry, she is survived by her siblings Carol Mazalewski, Gordon Terry, his wife Missy, and John Terry; all of Manomet. She was pre-deceased by siblings Eleanor Burt, Bobby Terry and Alice Bricklin. The Terry siblings were extremely close and remain so. Her cousins, nieces and nephews remember her fondly as she loved and cared for them deeply, especially Linda Mazalewski who has been niece, sister, confidant, best friend and in the end loving caregiver.
Her husband Randy Parker, and three children Ida, Ben and Abel love her immensely and will miss her dearly. Mary Ellen was a wonderful mother and grandmother whose efforts to provide for and protect her family will always be remembered. She leaves behind four grandchildren, Wesley, Violet, George and Luna, as well as daughter-in-law Carly Parker (Johnson).
Mary Ellen was a pillar of the community and will be remembered by many, as a true Manometian. She loved this place and it's people. For years she worked at the old Karbott Farms, Manomet Lobster Pound and drove school busses for the town of Plymouth. Her contributions to the village of Manomet included owning the local business Land Management Systems with her husband, and being an active Town Meeting Member. Her passions included music, horses, camping and traveling with her family in the RV. Her true love of the ocean was apparent, as she was an avid lobster and fisherwoman, cruising around in Simplicity, sailing in the Ocelot or trolling off of Tinkerbelle.
Visiting hours for Mary Ellen and her family are at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home at 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet) on Wednesday March 8th from 4-7 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 11:00 am at the 2nd Congregational Church of Plymouth by Gellar's at the 4 corners. Her burial will take place at the family plot in Manomet Cemetery. Memorial donations in her name may be made to Cranberry Hospice. We are so grateful for all of your prayers and well wishes
