Mary Louise Welchlin-Hallissey, age 60, died on Feb.9,2008 at her home in Plymouth following a long illness. Born in Boston MA on June 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George and Jane (Nicholson) Welchlin. She was educated in Boston and was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament High School in Boston. She worked for over 17 years at the Plymouth Savings Bank in the Accounting Dept. of the Middleboro Office. For the past 33 years Mary lived in Plymouth, previously residing in Jamaica Plain. She enjoyed her summers going to the beach in Scituate and Marshfield, as well as crocheting as a few of her favorite hobbies. Mary cherished her family and had fun cruising with them to Bermuda. She also taught CCD at St. Peters Church in Plymouth. Mary is survived by her former husband John Hallissey of Plymouth, her sons: John Jr. of Plymouth and Robert of Middleboro, her daughters: Mary A. and Elizabeth Hallissey both of Plymouth. She also leaves her brothers: Daniel Welchlin of W. Roxbury and George Welchlin of Roslindale, her sisters: Jane Redmond of Scituate, Grace Donahue of W. Roxbury and Scituate, Ann Foshey of Holbrook and Paula Scanlon of Newburyport. She was cherished grandmother of Evan, Sean, Meagan and Brandon. The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning at 9:15 from the Cartmell Funeral Home 150 Court St., Plymouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peters Church, Plymouth at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Cartmell Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.
