Obituaries
Mary T. (King) Smith of Plymouth died peacefully with the love of her family by her side on Wednesday evening, June 7th, at Plymouth Crossings after a long illness. She is the beloved wife of 56 years to Kevin Smith. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 24, 1944 daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Runge) King. Mary was a graduate of Fontbonne Academy in Milton and Boston City School of Nursing and with her Master's Degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. She had a life long career as a Registered Nurse working in various places throughout the country.
Mary was an avid gardener, artist, and basket maker. She enjoyed listening to music and mystery drives that ended in a sweet dessert treat. She and her husband traveled throughout the world. She had a flair for fashion, deep love for dogs, and cherished her friendships made over the years.
She always enjoy a good book and was a member of several book clubs and loved playing mahjong.
Besides her loving husband Kevin she is survived by her son Timothy Smith and his wife Kristin of Smithfield, R.I, her daughters Michelle Shelton and her husband Brian of Noblesville, Indiana, Kristin Julius and her husband William of Madison, Wisconsin and Laura Smith- Uitti and her husband Dan of Ft. Myers, Florida. She is also survived by her brothers John King of Maryland, Edward King of Delaware and Richard King of North Carolina. She was the Cherished grandmother of Connor Julius, Keara Shelton, Erin Julius, Kyle Shelton and Brendan Julius.
Visiting hour in the Cartmell – Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 373 Court St. North Plymouth (Near Cordage Park) on Wednesday June 14th from 9:00 am till 10:15am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Peter's Church 86 Court St. Plymouth at 10:30 am. Cremation at Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth.
