Mary C. (Campbell) Nash of Plymouth, passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth on October 31, 2022 at the age of eighty-seven. She was the beloved wife of Donald Nash and loving mother of Brendon Nash of Plymouth. She was the sister of Therese Devlin of Stoneham.
Mary was born on August 29, 1936 in Boston to the late Alexander and Mary Campbell. Mary’s area of study was education. She received her Bachelor’s degree from St. Francis Xavier University in Canada, her Master’s degree from Boston College where she met her husband and her PhD from the University of Massachusetts. She traveled all over the world with her husband, Donald for his career. Some of the places they traveled to were Belgium, Switzerland, Hawaii and for over twenty-five years in Texas. Mary was an educator at the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, Texas for over twenty years. She was a long-time volunteer at the NECWA (New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance) an organization that was very near and dear to her heart. She was also a very devout and active member of St. Bonaventure Church in Plymouth, where she made lots of friends and created wonderful bonds with the other parishioners.
A period of visitation will take place on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Bonaventure Church, 803 State Road, Plymouth. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The interment will follow the Mass at Cedarville Cemetery, 78 Herring Pond Road, Plymouth. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance, Inc., 11 Clarence Soule Drive, Middleboro, MA 02346 or www.necwa.org.
