Marion Elizabeth (Coady) Flaherty, age 88, of Carver formerly of Weymouth, died peacefully on April 23rd surrounded by family and loved ones. She was the beloved wife of the late John Francis Flaherty. Born in Boston July 14, 1921 she was the daughter of the late James J. and Esther T. (Benjamin) Coady. She was educated at St. Gregory High School in Dorchester and a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston, class of 1942. She worked as a Medical Technologist for the South Shore Veterinary Assn. until her retirement in 1985. She was a greeter and Eucharistic minister for the Church of the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha in West Plymouth. She moved to Carver in 1984 from Weymouth. She enjoyed quilting and square dancing as a few of her favorite past times. She was the loving mother of Kevin F. Flaherty of Carver and Burbank, Ca. and Marie T. Flathery of Brockton. Sister of James J. Coady of Carver. Funeral from the Cartmell Funeral home 150 Court St. Plymouth on Friday at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha 126 South Meadow Rd. West Plymouth at 10:00 am. Visiting hours on Thursday from 5- 8 pm only. Burial in the MA. National Cemetery in Bourne.
