Margaret Buckley
August 11, 1946 - February 26, 2023
Margaret Buckley passed away on the morning of February 26. She grew up in Dorchester, lived shortly in Florida and was a long-time resident of Janebar Circle in Plymouth.
Maggie, as she liked to be called, was born on August 11, 1946 to Bernard and Margaret Doherty and was one of five siblings. She was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. She worked many years as a bank teller and a brief time as a nurse's aide.
She was a devoted wife to her husband Danny for 49 years. She was also a devout Catholic. Maggie was a loving cat mother to her various fur babies. An avid reader, she also liked to crochet. Her close group of friends loved nothing better than to get together often for lunch. Patriot games were spent yelling at the TV and she was a fan of all Boston sport teams.
She is survived by her loving brother Denis Doherty and sister-in-law Cathy of Foxboro; nieces Meagan Doherty, Meredith Roussel, and Holly Johnson; nephews Gregory Weaver of Maine and Robert Weaver of Ohio, as well as great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Daniel, her beloved sister Patricia Weaver and brother Thomas Doherty, as well as her brother-in-law Robert Weaver.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home of Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Margaret's memory to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
