Mabel "Donna" Fultz passed away peacefully on May 27, 2023 at the age of 80. Donna was surrounded by loved ones as well as the remarkable staff at BID Hospital in Plymouth during her passing.
Donna was born January 9,1943 and raised in Weymouth by her parents Richard Fletcher Holden and Betty Holden. Donna was brought up alongside her brother, Richard Fletcher Holden II(deceased). Growing up, Donna attended Weymouth public schools where she met Stuart "Stu" Robert Fultz who would later become her beloved husband.
In their married life Donna and Stu would go on to have children of their own, Eric William Fultz and Douglas Robert Fultz(deceased). Apart from being a dedicated mother, Donna worked hard rising her way through the ranks to become a Postmaster at North Marshfield Post Office.
An essential part to Donna's life was family. Some of her fondest memories were formed from long days at the Herring Pond beach with her very dear friend and sister in law, Donna Holden. During the summertime Donna would often be accompanied by her grandchildren, Will and Mallory Fultz(children of Eric Fultz and his wife Karen Fultz) or her niece and nephew, Stacy Carter (Holden) and Richard Holden III, at Herring Pond.
When Donna was not taking in the sun at the beach she could often be found tending to her extremely impressive garden. Donna loved the outdoors as well as all of the animals that came with it. Donna was known for her keen knowledge of birds, butterflies, and everything in between.
Donna and Stu both bonded over their love for music in the Weymouth High School Band where Donna played the alto saxophone. Later in her life Donna became an accomplished pianist as well as the organist at the Plymouth United Methodist Church while she lived in Duxbury. Up until her passing, both Donna and Stu were a part of The Rusty Skippers band out of Cohasset along with The South Shore Bay Band out of Duxbury.
Donna's memory is carried on through her husband of 59 years Stu as well as their dog Ernie, her son Eric Fultz, her two daughters in law Karen and Amy Fultz, her grandchildren Will and Mallory Fultz, her sister in law Donna Holden, her nephew Richard Holden III and his wife
Melissa Holden, and her niece Stacy Carter(Holden) and her husband Brian Carter. Donna is predeceased by her son Doug Fultz and brother Richard Holden II.
Visiting hours will take place Tuesday, June 6 at Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, in Plymouth from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mass Audubon
