Obituaries
Louise M. (Blackstock) McPhail of Plymouth formerly of Braintree, died peacefully on November 5th at Life Care Center of Plymouth. She was the beloved wife of the late David A. McPhail. Born in Lawarence, Massachusetts on March 14, 1926,daughter of the late Milton C. and Violet (Collier)Blackstock . She was educated in Quincy and a graduate of North Quincy High School. She was a longtime resident of Braintree before moving to Plymouth. She had worked as a Hostess at the John Scott Nursing home in Braintree for many years. While living in Braintree she was active with the Emmanuel Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday school, a member of the BraintreeWomen’s club, the Pinehurst friendship club in Plymouth and the bookworms club at the Plymouth Council on Aging.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia Harper of Plymouth, Nancy Abrams of Bridgewater, her sons Edward Bailey of CA.Robert Thompson, Jr. of Iowa, her stepson son David McPhail, Jr. She was the mother of the late Kathleen Casola and sister of the late Virginia Drye. Grandmother of Michael Casola, Gina Goodwin, Tara Sikes, Katie Tuttle, Keith Barry, Jackie Salvaggio, and Daniel Thompson. Great grandmother of Evan Sikes, Ricky Tuttle and Evan Van Thompson.
Graveside service on Monday November 8th at 11:15 am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the aspca.org
