Obituaries
Kristopher Lewis Zelkan of Plymouth, died peacefully on Friday Evening February 10th at B.I.D. Medical Center Boston. He was the beloved son of Dawn M. (Lopes) Zelkan-Healy of Plymouth and John H. Zelkan of Brownville, Maine. He was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on October 8th, 1989. Kristopher attended Plymouth schools and graduated from Plymouth South High School class of 2008 in the Marine Tech program. He then went on to become a certified welder. Kristopher worked as a lobsterman for years out of Plymouth harbor. Kris purchased his own fishing boat and became his own boss.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Alexis Zelkan, Faith Healy and Hope Healy all of Plymouth, his nephews, Isaac and Eli, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves his girlfriend, Michele North of Norwell, his beloved dogs, Rex and Millie, his horse, Earl and all his animals on the farm.
Kris was a four season hunter and enjoyed his time in the great outdoors spending it with his family and friends. He was also a member of the MA Lobstermen’s Association. Kris had a love for music, his family and his animals. He loved to be outdoors and out on the water.
Growing up he participated in Boy Scouts and the Young Marines. As an adult, he enjoyed showing his sheep at the state fairs.
Visiting hours in the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 619 State Rd. Plymouth (Manomet) on Friday February 24th from 5-8 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday February 25th at St. Bonaventure Church in Manomet at 10:00 am.Cremation will follow at Vine Hills Crematory Plymouth.
