Kathleen ‘Kathy’ T. (Kane) Kapolis of Plymouth, died peacefully with her family at her side on October 28, 2022 in her home. She was the beloved wife of Dennis N. Kapolis. Born in Halifax, England on January 25, 1940, daughter of the late Thomas and Molly (Disley) Kane. She came to the US as a young girl and graduated from Bunker Hill Community College with her degree in Nursing. Kathy went on to become an R.N. and worked for over 45 years in nursing. She started her career at Boston City Hospital and later went to work for Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She also worked as a travel nurse, and worked aboard the crew of MED Flight. She worked on and trained the first EMT’s in Plymouth with the Brewster Ambulance Service. Kathy worked as a certified Rape Crisis councilor with the Commonwealth of MA, and worked with emergency foster care placement program. She held her Real Estate license and worked in local Plymouth offices. After Retirement, she continued to keep busy by doing home health care. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, gardening and loved animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her many grandchildren.
Besides her husband Dennis she is survived by her loving daughter Gina Kapolis of Plymouth and was the loving mother of the late Denise Rose Kapolis and the late Jason Robert Kapolis. She was the sister of Mary Robinson and the late John and Bill Kane.
She was the cherished grandmother of William Jordan, Alicia Kapolis, Anthony Jordan, Victoria Kapolis, Katrina Kapolis, and Dariel Rios. Great grandmother of William, Eduardo, Jayden and Izabella.
Visiting hours in the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home at 150 Court St. Plymouth (Downtown) on Wednesday Nov. 2nd from 10 – 1 pm. Graveside service to follow at 1:30 at Vine Hills Cemetery 102 Samoset St. Plymouth. Memorial donations in her name may be made to MSPCA-Angell.
