On Saturday, September 24, 2022, John (Jack) Francis Lacey, formerly of Milton, Plymouth MA and Naples FL, loving husband and father of two children, passed away peacefully at the age of 87.
Jack was born on September 17, 1935 in Boston, MA to James and Noreen (Griffin) Lacey. He is a graduate of Boston High School of Commerce and Newman Prep. He enlisted in the Air Force and served for 4 years in the Air Force as a Sergeant in the Air Police and, upon discharge, he attended Suffolk University in Boston. Jack started Action Collection Agency in Brockton, MA, where he was owner and President for 34 years.
On September 3, 1960, he married Marilyn Leonard. They raised two sons, Robert and Christian.
Jack was an avid golfer and was a member of Plymouth Country Club and Cedar Hammock Country Club in Naples, FL, where they spent winters after his retirement. He also belonged to the Brockton YMCA Health Club for many years. He was an enthusiastic Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed traveling with his wide group of friends and loved to read and spend time with his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, James and his mother, Noreen and his 3 siblings, Jim, Jean and Elaine. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his two children, Robert and Christian, his daughter-in-law, Deborah and his 5 grandchildren, Brianna, Zachary, Autumn, Jeffrey and Giannina, as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Teddy.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 10:00am, at St. Bonaventure’s Church, 803 State Road Manomet, MA with a burial ceremony immediately following at Vine Hills Cemetery 102 Samoset St. Plymouth, MA.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 4:00-7:00pm at Cartmell Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road Manomet, MA.
