John J. Brennan, 92 of Plymouth, died at Brigham and Women's Hospital on August 12th. Beloved husband of Helen, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage in June. He also leaves behind his four sons, John of Fairfield, CT; Timothy of Kingston, MA; Christopher of Fairfield, CT and Daniel of Needham, MA, daughters-in-law Elisa of Fairfield, CT; Debbie of Needham, MA and John's fiancee Christine of Fairfield, CT. He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren, Calie, Stephen, Matthew, Falvey, John, Ryan, Brittany, Caroline and Courtney. John was born in Somerville, MA, attended high school at Cambridge Latin and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon discharge, he earned three advanced degrees from Harvard University, a Masters of Business Administration, a Doctorate of Commercial Science and a Doctorate of Business Administration. Professionally, he was a professor of Finance at Boston College prior to his long tenure as Executive Vice President at the Electronics Corporation of America. He concluded his career as a professor and the chairman of the Finance Department at Babson College and served as a consultant for numerous corporations. He was an avid tennis player and golfer.
