Obituaries
John Miranda, Jr passed away after a period of illness on May 15, 2023 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA. He was 74 years old. He was the son of John Miranda, Sr and Mary (Mamie) Santos of East Providence, R.I.
John attended East Providence schools and the University of Rhode Island. He served in the military in the Army division. He owned several businesses including an Ice House in Port Judith, RI. He was occupied as an over-the-road truck driver for more than 30 years.
He leaves behind his fiancée Donna M. Andrews of Carver, MA. his sisters Mary Pina of Ocoee, FL, Jennie Gaul of Greenville, RI, Barbara Teixeira of New Bedford, MA, Shirley Javery of Lincoln, RI and Jaqueline Miranda of Indian Trail NC. He also had half-brothers in Virginia Beach VA – John, Henry and Anthony Coakley and Quinton Gus Miranda in Arizona. He was predeceased by his brother John Pina and his sister Josephine Pina of Providence, RI. He was step-father to Jan Marie Andrews, Christina Andrews and Dana Andrews, Jr He also leaves behind his step-grandchildren who were the lights in his life.
John enjoyed traveling across the country in his motor home with Donna by his side. He loved their vacations to Europe and most of all he loved his family.
There will be no funeral arrangements at this time John's family will arrange a celebration of his life at a later date.
