John W. Esser Jr., of Plymouth formerly of Bayonne, New Jersey, died on January 8th at B.I.D. Hospital Plymouth. Born in the Bronx, New York on May 18, 1970, son of Dorothy (Bielawski) Esser of Plymouth and the late John W. Esser, Sr. He was educated in Bayonne, New Jersey where he spent most of his life before moving to Plymouth. He served his country in the U.S.Army as a Combat Engineer during the Gulf War. John worked in the construction field most recently and helped out at St. Kateri Parish in Plymouth with the food pantry. He enjoyed playing video games in his spare time.
Besides his loving mother he is survived by his brother Thomas J. Esser of Plymouth and his sister Jennifer M. Esser of Bayonne, New Jersey. Also survived by his uncle’s William Esser, Frank Bielawski and Terrence Bielawki. and several cousins.
Visiting hours in St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church on Thursday January 13th from 2-5 pm. Funeral Mass on Friday January 14th at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at the MA. National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:45 pm. Memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Kateri Parish Food Pantry or Building Fund, 126 South Meadow Rd. Plymouth, MA. 02360.
