Joan Ouellette, age 78, of Plymouth, passed away on Friday, March 24th, at her home in Plymouth. She was the wife of Herbert F. Ouellette. Loving mother of Bonnie Walker and husband Charles Walker, Gina Howie-Clark and husband Douglas Clark, and Michael Brown. Grandmother (Nana) of Nikolas Howie-Garcia. As well as sister of Betty Gene Harju, and the late Geraldine Burke.
Born in St John's Newfoundland, Canada, on October 23, 1944, daughter of the late Edward and Susanna (Powell) Brown. Joan grew up in Roxbury and went on to make her career at Sturdy Memorial Hospital as an ER Housekeeper. She was a member of the Plymouth Elks Lodge 1476. She loved spending time with family, often known as everyone's Mom. Joan was also known to "belly up to the bar" once and a while with her family and friends that became family.
A visitation will be held at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 150 Court St (Downtown) Plymouth, on Thursday, March 30th, from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm. A graveside service will take place the following day at Union Cemetery, Carver, at 11:00 am. Donations in Joan's memory may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
