Obituaries
Jean (Lenart) Zech of Randolph, MA (formerly of Livonia, MI) passed away at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on October 12, 2022, at the age of seventy-seven, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late James Zech. She was the sister of JoAnne McMillan and Louis Lenart and his wife Joyce. She was the beloved “CioCia” Jean of Jean McMillan Sundin and her husband Enrique Peiniger, Maria McMillan and her husband O’Neil Pemberton, Michelle McMillan Sanchez, Yvonne Lenart-Evans and her husband Mark, and Vincent Lenart and his wife Barbara; great aunt of Jake Sanchez, Joshua Sanchez, Kayla Evans, and Stephanie Ebaugh and her husband Ryan. She also leaves behind many cousins.
Jean was born on July 30, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Steve and Lottie (Targosz) Lenart. She was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed traveling the country on two wheels via her Harley Davidson, along with her husband James. She was a member of the Michigan Motor Maids and enjoyed traveling to bike rallies, including Sturgis. Jean was a world traveler, visiting China, Japan, and Hawaii, amongst many other destinations around the globe. Of all the places she loved traveling, visiting the Rocky Mountains with her husband, James was her favorite. She was an excellent photographer and especially enjoyed taking photos of flowers for which she had a favorable eye. She was also and animal lover. Her husband James, along with their dog “Mazi,” a Bichon mix, were the loves of her life. Jean will be missed for her kind, generous, and fun-loving soul.
Services will be private and held in Michigan at a later date.
