James Rindone of Plymouth, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on September 18, 2022 at the age of seventy-one. He was the beloved husband of Lillian (Alexander) Rindone; loving father of Gina Calouro of Plymouth, Jennifer Carr and her husband Tommy of Plymouth, and James Rindone and his wife Shannon of Duxbury; cherished grandfather of Cesar, Jr., Jacob, Colin, Trayten, Sienna and Karalei; great grandfather of Cameron. He was the brother of Joanne Cookson and her husband Tommy of Marshfield and Jackie Feinstein and her husband Peter of Manomet.
James was born on May 26, 1951 in Boston to the late Vincenzo and Shirley Mae (Brown) Rindone. He was raised in Hanover until his family moved to Rockland where he graduated from Rockland High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Japan. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to the states and began working with his father at Hanover Kitchen. He also worked as a manager at MIJA and was the owner of Belle’s Coffee House on Plymouth’s waterfront. He enjoyed traveling, cooking and being with family and friends. He was an avid Boston sports fan and especially loved the New England Patriots. He had a passion for football and looked forward to the games on Sunday’s.
A period of visitation will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet). A private graveside service will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360 or the Plymouth Animal Shelter, 2199 State Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.
