Obituaries
James H. Andrews, 80, of Kingston passed away peacefully on March 22, 2023. Jim was born on November 23, 1942, in Brockton, the son of the late James H. and Marguerite "Pat" (Kavanaugh) Andrews. Jim graduated from Brockton High in 1960 and subsequently earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Jim went on to have a successful career as an Electrical Engineer with Systems Engineering in Stoughton, retiring in 2002.
Jim is predeceased by his loving wife, Doris M. Andrews (Marino). Jim and Doris were happily married for 55 years, raising their family in Plymouth. Together they loved boating and vacationing with family at Lake Winnipesaukee and at their winter home in Sebastian, FL. Jim spent many happy hours working on his boats and his classic Thunderbird.
Jim is survived by his loving children, James P. Andrews and his wife Julie of Middleboro and Jennifer L. Andrews of Kingston; his sisters, Sister Patricia Andrews CSJ, Janet Smith, and Susan (Kevin) Orme; his brother-in-law Vincent (Wendy) Marino and his sisters-in-law Jean Delsignore and Jeri Andrews; he is predeceased by his brother Paul Andrews and his brothers-in-law Claude "Bub" Smith, Ernest Marino and David Marino as well as his friend Mary Shea. Jim also leaves his much-loved friends Sarah Short of Kingston, Sharon Worton of Plympton, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A mass will be said for Jim at St. Mary's Church, 392 Hanover Street, (Rt.139) Hanover on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360.
