Jaime Allison Martin, a resident of Crystal Springs School in Assonet, Massachusetts for 34 years, formerly of Plymouth died peacefully with her family at her side on Monday October 17th in her home. Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on March 26, 1976, she was the loving daughter of Lois K. (Budlong) Martin and the late Ronald Martin. Jaime was born with congenital microcephaly and despite her developmental disability lived each day with a smile on her face and a feisty whit. She was the light of our lives and taught us all about the importance of unconditional love and the value that everyone should be shown. The loving care she received for so many years at Crystal Springs allowed Jaime to be with us for much longer than we were told at her birth. She was loved by all who knew her and was her mother’s little angel.
She is survived by her loving mother Lois Martin and her step father Thomas Mayer both of Plymouth. Also survived by her beloved sister Mindy Martin of Weymouth and her brother Scott Martin of Groton, Connecticut. She leaves her aunt Carol Green and her husband Fred of Foxboro and her Uncle Skip Budlong of Wrentham and cousins Joshua Green and his wife Wanda and daughter, Lilly of Ohio and Jessica Charbonneau and her husband Pete, and son Killian of Foxborough. She is also survived by her step-sister, Jennifer Ryan and her husband Stephen and their daughters, Eliza and Audrey of Duxbury, and step-brother, Tim Mayer of Quincy, and a large extended family of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and Crystal Springs family.
A visitation with Jaime’s family will be held on Saturday October 29th from 1-3 pm with a Memorial service at 3:00 pm at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 150 Court St. Plymouth (Downtown). In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Jaime’s name may be made to Crystal Springs, Inc., 38 Narrows Road, P.O. Box 372, Assonet, MA 02702 or the Hospice Services of MA. 10 Riverside Drive Suite 201, Lakeville, MA. 02347.
