Did you ever know a guy with a soft voice but a big presence? That was Gerry Stone.
We are sad to announce the passing of Gerald A. Stone of Plymouth, Massachusetts on January 10, 2023 surrounded by family.
Gerry was born in Scituate Ma. to Barbara (Rohnstock) and Walter Stone. He was a proud Scituate resident until recently moving to Plymouth Ma. where he and Nancy became part of an amazing community of people that gave them endless fun times and lifelong friendships.
He is survived by Karen Stone; their children Tracy and David, his wife Allison and grandson Chase, pal Nancy Testa, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Barbara and Walter Stone, and his brothers David and Leonard.
Gerry had a great love of the outdoors, and a passion for golf. He had many admirers of his sweet golf swing, and was a big presence at both Hatherly Country Club in Scituate and Pinehills in Plymouth. He had a lot friends, because it was hard to not like him. He was a good listener and great conversationalist, always ready with a laugh. Along with many rounds of golf, one of his greatest joys was his Grandson Chase.
Donations can be made to Running Strong for American Indian Youth where Gerry was a long time contributer, and he said “if you think of me play an old country song.”
Private services will be announced at a later date.
