George A. Wood
February 10, 1947 - January 8, 2016
George A. Wood of Plymouth died on January 8th at Life Care Center of Plymouth. Born in Plymouth on February 10, 1947 a son of the late Howard T. and Anita (Reggiani) Wood. Educated in Plymouth and a graduate of Plymouth Carver High School class of 1965.He served in the US Army serving during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. George worked as a Union Carpenter for Local # 67, a former member of the Cold Spring Club in Plymouth. He is survived by his sons Brian Wood of Carver and Keith Wood of Brooklyn, NY. Brother of Thomas Wood of Florida, Howard Wood of Plymouth, James Wood of Plymouth, Pauline Rasori of Georgia, Susan Anderson of Plymouth and Louise King of Plymouth. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Cartmell Funeral home 150 Court St. Plymouth on Wednesday from 6-8 pm. Graveside service in the MA. National Cemetery in Bourne on Thursday at 11:15 am. Memorial donations in his name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
