Gayle M. Palma
November 22, 1946 - January 7, 2018
Gayle M. Palma, age 71 years, of Plymouth, died Sunday, January 7, 2018, at her home following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Anthony Palma, and the daughter of the late Frank I. and Rita (Gallagher) Frid. Born in Boston, Gayle was raised in Weymouth where she graduated from Weymouth High School. Married for over forty eight years, she and her husband made their home in Kingston for twenty eight years before moving to Plymouth fourteen years ago. She enjoyed traveling and performed in the Hingham Cabaret for thirty five years. She worked along side her husband at Anthony Palma Hair Stylists in Quincy and also as a promotional model for Chanel.
In addition to her loving husband Anthony, she is survived by her children, Michael Palma and his wife Mindy of Walnut Creek, CA and Heather Zemotel and her husband Gary of Plymouth, and her grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan, Logan and Kendall Zemotel, Lily and Londyn Palma.
Gayles family would like to offer their sincere thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care Gayle received from her doctors, Dr. Carolyn Krasner and Dr. John Schorge as well as the nurses, Marlene, Laura and Danielle at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Her funeral will be held from the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 619 State Rd. Plymouth, (Manomet) on Friday at 9:00AM, followed by a funeral mass in St. Bonaventures Church, 803 State Rd. Plymouth at 10:00AM. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4:00-7:00PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
