Obituaries
Gary S. Sanborn, age 64 years, died, Monday, January 28, 2019 at Cape Cod Hospital in Barnstable following a brief illness. He was the son of Marilyn (Davis) Cannon and the late Robert Sanborn. Born in Brockton, MA on October 3, 1954, he was a graduate of Silver Lake High School in Kingston. Gary was a Union worker who was employed by Stop & Shop for over 15 years. He was a nature lover, who spent his time exploring outside, camping and hiking trails. He enjoyed a wide spectrum of music including classic rock, blues, and instrumental, and he loved to play cribbage and rummy as well as, talk politics. Gary was a loving and humble man who would give you the shirt off his back or the last dime in his pocket. He was a wonderful father and father figure to his children’s friends and any child who needed it.
Besides his loving mother, Marilyn, he will be missed by his children, Timothy Rau of Pennsylvania, David Sanborn and his wife Amy of Sommersett, Juley Sanborn and her partner Alicia Tasney of Abington and Ashley Sanborn of Haverhill, his grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, Kyra, Patience, Jericho, Addison and Bennett, his brothers, Kevin Sanborn of Plymouth and Dwight Sanborn and his wife Jeanine of Whitman. He also leaves the mother of his children, Karyn Walsh of Pembroke.
Visitation with Gary’s family will be on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm at the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 373 Court Street, Plymouth, MA (next to Cordage Park).
