Elque L. "Dick" Falkner, Esq.
October 2, 1922 - January 3, 2016
Elque L. "Dick" Falkner, Esq., formerly of Marshfield and Plymouth, died peacefully on January 3, 2016 at the Royal Norwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the devoted husband of Helen L. (Tate) Falkner of Norwell, his wife of 71 years. Born in Nesbit, MS on October 2, 1922, son of the late Oscar and Lillian (Woods) Falkner, he was a graduate of Horn Lake High School, MS. After serving in the US Marine Corps during WW II, he obtained a law degree from Suffolk Law School in Boston and served as an attorney and hearings officer for the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities for most of his career. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Plymouth and the Democratic Town Committee. Dick was the loving father of the late Michael Falkner and the late James Falkner. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Daniel and his wife Catherine of Norwell, MA, his daughter Karen and her husband Joseph Iacobucci of Cambridge, MA, and his daughter Kathie Gove and her husband Ken of Aiken, SC. Dick is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A PRIVATE graveside service will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, on April 1st, 2016.
