DeGeorge, of Middleboro, Edith A. (Burns), age 92, died at the Life Care Center in Plymouth. Formerly of Newton, Plymouth, and Scituate. Devoted wife of the late Daniel DeGeorge II. Loving mother of Daniel “Danno” DeGeorge III of Tucson, AZ and Donna Santos of Middleboro. Beloved sister of Robert Burns of Tewksbury, MA. Cherished grandmother of six and great-grandmother of ten. The funeral will take place on Monday morning at 9:15 from the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St.,Plymouth followed by a funeral mass at St. Peter’s Church in Plymouth at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Cartmell Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Cremation will take place at Mayflower Crematory in Duxbury followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Newton, MA. (Driscoll) Burns and Charles Warren Burns. For most of her life she worked as a secretary working at Newton City Hall in the C.O.A. Dept., then United Car Fasteners and later T.R.W., from where she retired at age 62. Her hobbies included swimming and working on copper and tin. She enjoyed nature, animals, and the outdoors. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.
