Obituaries
On May, 16, 2021, Dina Silva of Kingston, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. Dina was born in Revere, Ma. April 12, 1965, she attended Lynn Public Schools and worked as a waitress in the restaurant industry. As a child she had a love for dance and attended dance school many years, she enjoy bowling and and was part of a league for several years. One of her fondest memories was winning a 1st place trophy with her mother at a mother –daughter contest. She was so proud to have been 1st place winner.
Dina is remembered for her kind heart and love for the people in her family. Despite her struggles she had faced she had a resilient personality, a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed it. Many of these qualities are passed on to her son Brandon.
Dina had five children, Donnie Silva of Berkley, MA., George McCormick of Raleigh, N.C. ,Brandon Silva of Plymouth, Anthony “We miss you whoever you are” and Amanda Cook of N.H. Also survived by her mother Linda Murphy of Malden, her father Paul Silva of Berkley, her significant other Jeff Goodwin of Taunton, John Cushman of Plymouth. Her brothers Paul Silva and Robert Silva of N.H. and her sister Julia Silva of Boston and the late Sharon Hitaj of Lynn. Also survived by her dearest lifelong friends Betsy Burnham Putney of Carver and Steph Pettersen of Plymouth. She was pre-deceased by her lifelong companions Alan Drozd and David Ricardo.
She had many grandchildren and nieces and nephews .Brandon's first born child Brandon Jr., was the light of her life, she loved him so much.
Dina was a mother figure to many of Brandon’s closet friends, often referred to as “Ma” to all her “Bonus” children.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation hours on Sunday May 23rd from 2:00 – 5:00 pm followed by a 5 :00 pm service at the Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 373 Court St. North Plymouth (Near Cordage Park).
The immediate family would like to invite family and friends to join them for a lantern lighting at the Plymouth Jetty after the services conclude.
