Obituaries
On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, Denise Nihill passed away after a brief illness. She was 69 years old.
Denise is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Mathew Nihill, her children Robert (Valerie) Nihill, Ryan (Nicole) Nihill, Shannon Nihill, and James (Susan) Nihill, and her grandchildren Colton and Cassidy. Denise will also be fondly remembered by her mother, Florence Brunetto, and brothers David (Lisa) Sullivan and William Sullivan.
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Denise graduated from Cathedral High School, studied sociology at Curry College, and expanded her knowledge of the Lord’s word through bible study. Denise was an athletic young person with an interest in tap and jazz dance. As an adult, she discovered weightlifting and rock climbing – even scaling Iron Skillet Mountain to a height of 4,000 feet.
Denise was a lifelong learner who dedicated her life to the service of others. She spent time volunteering at Boston City Hospital School of Handicapped Children, and driving for Judco Special Needs Transportation. Denise also found great joy in missionary work, supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and operating the American Legion Post 40 Food Pantry.
As a proud member of the American Legion Post 40 Women’s Auxiliary, Denise appreciated time with dear friends and family on the deck overlooking Little West Pond. She always had a big ol’ smile on her face.
A memorial service will be held at the American Legion Post 40, Plymouth, on Sunday, January 22nd, from 1:00 pm till 4:00 pm.. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the family of Denise using the payment portal below.
