Deborah A. McWhinnie, age 70, died July 1, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Martial and Edna (Langill) Frechette. Born in Newton Massachusetts on August 12, 1952, she worked for Verizon for over 20 years rising to management, after an early retirement she was a representative for Longaberger baskets, worked at Sakonnet Vineyard as a hostess, and then as business consultant for Auntie Anne's later incorporated into Focus brands covering the east coast including New England, New York, New Jersey before retiring. Debbie was active in the Pinehill's Community with many friends, enjoyed throwing parties, was active in multiple sports and outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, tennis, pickleball, and golf. Once she was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer, she was a fighter and did not let this slow her down. She travelled the world with her devoted partner, Chuck, enjoying Bermuda, Cancun, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic with several trips requiring portable oxygen. She continued to ski with broken bones and play golf with a chest tube in place and she even scored a hole in one on the Nicklaus Pinehill's golf course with her chest tube in place.
She will be sadly missed by her children who she raised a single parent for many years: Justin Buckley and his fiancé Kristina Damon of Weymouth, Jyllian Tighe and her partner Steve Linnell of Medway, and Jonathan Buckley and his partner Callista Georgiou of Rockland, her grandchildren Dylan and Brody Tighe, Jack, Alivia, Cameron, Mason and Niko Buckley and her siblings Elaine and her husband Edward, of Hudson, Joyce Casavant of Hampton, VA, Diane Leone and her husband Robert of Hudson, NH, Francis Mclean and her husband William of Newton, twins Martial Frechette and his wife Mary Ellen of Billerica and Mark Frechette and his wife Evelyn of Nashua, NH and Joanie Rainey of Waltham. She was loved and cared for by her devoted partner, Charles "Chuck" Eaton MD of Plymouth. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday July 12, 2023 at Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Manomet, Plymouth MA. Visiting hours are from 3-5:30 with a service to follow from 5:30-6:00 pm.
