Deborah T. (O’Connor) Holbert of Plymouth was born in Boston on October 24, 1966. She was the daughter of the late John and Helen Rita (Manning) O’Connor. She was educated in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth – Carver High School.
Debbie, a longtime resident of Plymouth, had worked in Customer Service for many years, but her focus in life was her family. She loved the time spent with her grandchildren and was always willing to help someone in need. She had the knack for always making people laugh, and she was the life of a party.
Debbie was encouraging and generous and gave the best hugs. She loved the beach as her happy place. She was an avid hockey player in her younger years and was presented with the Bobby Orr Sportsmanship Award. She loved watching all of the New England Teams.
Deborah T. (O’Connor) Holbert of Plymouth died unexpectedly on August 22 in her home. She is survived by her children, Kelsie Holbert, and her fiancée Adam of E. Wareham, Melissa Holbert-Malaquias, and her husband Wemerson of Duxbury, Timothy Holbert of Halifax, and Chad Holbert and his wife Carrie of Mashpee. She also is survived by her brother Brian O’Connor and his husband Noel of Florida. We find her now reunited with her brothers, the late David, and John O’Connor. The next generation continues to cherish their grandmother, "Memé": her beloved: Alexander, Destiny – Lynn, Acen, Brycen, Tyler, Alexia, Devin, and Sadie. Through their successes and their smiles, they will continue to remind their grandfather, David Holbert, her best friend of Plymouth, about the significance of their former union as he and many others embrace, cherish and mourn the reality of losing a true friend.
Visiting hours in the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 373 Court St. North Plymouth on Wednesday August 31st from 10:00 am – 12:00pm. A memorial service will follow at 12 noon.
The family would greatly appreciate it if donations in Debbie’s memory could be made towards the cost of the services using the provided payment portal.
