Bridget Barry of Plymouth, MA passed away on April 18th, 2023 at the age of 40. Beloved daughter of David and Carole Barry, sister to Edward, Helen, Daniel, and Carole Barry, and their families Stefanie Muller, Brian Gillis, and Lynn Giovanetti. Aunt to Olivia Barry, Lennard, Liam, and Lorelei Barry, Paul and David Gillis, and Harleigh and Sawyer Barry. She leaves behind many friends and beloved acquaintances, including Daniel Leary, Myke Grady, and "Pal" Mrs. G. Plus many others who loved her as much as she loved them. Bridget lived a full and complete life, making a significant impact on everyone that interacted with her.
Bridget was born on October 2, 1982 in Plymouth, MA. Her life was impacted by what many would refer to as "special needs," and defined by the fact that the only thing "special" was she.
Bridget was an avid Bruins fan, and sports star in and of herself – a gold medal recipient at the Special Olympics. She loved camping with her father but wasn't too crazy about the hiking part. Bridget was trouble at the bowling alley, and played with hot-hands on the basketball court. Her musical tastes ranged from Pearl Jam to Weezer to Green Day to the Beach Boys and James Taylor, back to Pearl Jam and then Pearl Jam again especially at Fenway Park..
Bridget will be dearly missed.
Family and friends are all welcome to pay their respects to Bridget beginning with a wake a the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. Plymouth (Manomet), on Sunday, April 23rd, from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day in St. Bonaventure's Church, Plymouth (Manomet), at 10:00 am. A private burial in Milton Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bridget's memory at the Plymouth Area Collaborative Special Olympics
