Obituaries
Brian Ruxton, died peacefully at the age of 60 after a short illness. He was born and raised in Plymouth, where he attended Plymouth-Carver High School. He was the son of the late Harold and Jean Ruxton. He is survived by five brothers; Harold and his wife Denise of Plymouth, Kenneth of New Orleans, James and his wife Sharon of Plympton, Donald and his wife Gail of Kingston, and Stephen and his wife Stacey of Kingston. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Matthew Ruxton, Brad Ruxton, Justin Ruxton, Kelly MacDonald, Christopher Ruxton, Jessica Ruxton and Tyler Ruxton.
Brian grew up an avid sports lover; spent many of his younger years playing both hockey and baseball. Then was fortunate to play summer softball with the company of many of his brothers and cousins. In his early working years, he proudly worked beside his father in his family’s trucking business, Sampson Express. After that, he followed his love of the ocean to become the owner of his own small lobster business and spent many hours enjoying his time fishing. Brian is grateful for the support of his brothers, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:00AM in the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral home, 150 Court Street (downtown) Plymouth. Visitation with Brian’s family will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM. Interment will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.
