Obituaries
Bette Crowell, age 86 years, of Manomet, died Friday, January 8, 2021 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret (Hopkins) Pimental, and the former wife of the late Ted Brown and Richard Crowell. Born in Plymouth, Bette has been a lifelong resident of the town. Bette drove school buses for 45 years, starting her career with L.E. Crowell Bus Company in Manomet, and later having worked for Laidlaw and First Student in Plymouth until her retirement. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She could often be seen out in her yard doing yardwork or sitting under the tree enjoying the sunshine. She also loved her dogs and going out for an ice cream.
She will be missed by her five daughters, Ellen Brown and her husband Kenneth Holmes of Manomet, Lisa Hettinger and her husband Irvin of Cape Coral, FL, Maggie Brown of Manomet, Katie Gutwill and
her husband Matthew of Ashland and Michelle Rego and her husband Jeff of Kingston, NH, her seven grandchildren, Robert and Molly Holmes, Katelyn and Stephen Hettinger, Jared, Sam and Teddy Gutwell. She was the sister of Beverly Williams, Susie Demulder, Rodney, Richard and Alfred Pimental. Services for Bette will be private.
