VerNooy, of Plymouth formerly of Boston, Beatrice S. (Gaal), age 64, died on June 21, 2005 at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston following a sudden illness. She was the devoted wife of Russell G. VerNooy of Plymouth and daughter of the late Michael Andrew and Beatrice Bennett (Hermann) Gaal. She is also survived by her beloved cats. A private graveside service will take place on Thursday at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Friends are invited to a celebration of Bea’s life on Saturday, June 25th from 1 to 4 p.m. at 9 Misty Knoll, Great Island in the Pine Hills, Plymouth, MA. She was educated in Sharon, MA and was a graduate of Sharon High School Class of 1959. She went on to further her education by graduating from Rhode Island School of Design where she received her Bachelors degree. She was then requested to teach there, where she taught for 7 years. She worked as a Model for the Heart Agency and later started The Agency for Models, one of the top agencies in Boston for many years. She then began working doing location photography. Mrs. VerNooy also worked for Gulf Western doing advertising and then went back to working in the arts. She was well known for her unique design of sea glass jewelry throughout the eastern coast. She had a great love of sailing, and was inscribed on the Lipton Cup Race. She sailed her j24 at 13.6 knots during the Block Island Race Week. Bea enjoyed extensive travel and held a place close to her heart for all of her cats and kittys, both past and present. Directions to Celebration of Life: Route 3 south to exit 3 ''Clark Rd.'' At end of the ramp, head east on Clark Rd. toward Pine Hills for about 1.5 miles. At Great Island signed entrance, go up the hill till you see the clubhouse and take a left at the triangle.
