Arthur C. McLaughlin, Jr. of Plymouth, passed away at South Shore Hospital on March 10, 2022 at the age of seventy-three. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Gavin) McLaughlin; loving father of Kevin McLaughlin and his wife Brooke of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Sharon McLaughlin of Middleboro; cherished granddaughter, Claire, whom he adored. He leaves his sister, Ruth Strassel of Salem, New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews.
Arthur was born on October 6, 1948 in Brockton to the late Arthur and Audrey (Clarke) McLaughlin. He was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School. In 1968 Arthur began a long-term career in the burial vault business, beginning with Wilbert Vault, then moving to South Eastern Vault and ending with the Department of Public Works for the Town of Hanover in the cemetery division, from which he retired in 2013. Arthur was well known in the industry for his hard work, knowledge and expertise in vault installation in cemeteries across the South Shore and beyond. He enjoyed restoring old toy trucks and camping in Maine and New Hampshire with his family and friends; often visiting Acadia National Park.
